Director OF motion:
Marriott Bonvoy x Chase Visa
Directing for Marriott x Chase Visa
This project for Marriott Bonvoy and Chase Visa brought together everything I love about directing: energy, style, and the freedom of the open road. Shot on location in Joshua Tree, the campaign — titled “Bold” — followed a group of friends road-tripping from Los Angeles into the desert, trading city noise for golden light and wide-open space.
As both director for motion and photographer for stills, I created a visual approach that blended editorial style with authentic, lived-in moments. We leaned into natural light, handheld movement, and a fashion-forward wardrobe to give the piece a modern, cinematic edge. The talent moved like real friends — climbing rocks, dancing in the road, sharing snacks — creating the kind of unscripted moments that make a trip unforgettable.
Joshua Tree was the perfect backdrop: sculptural landscapes, warm tones, and that unmistakable California sense of possibility. Shooting both photo and video allowed me to craft a unified visual language — bold, sun-soaked, and effortlessly cool.
In the end, the campaign became a celebration of friendship, movement, and choosing adventure. It’s the typeof project that reminds me why I love what I do: transforming simple moments into something stylish, cinematic, and full of life.
Skatie Activewear
Skatie Active x Joffrey Ballet
This project for Skatie Activewear was one of those rare shoots where place, people, and purpose aligned beautifully. Shot on location in Chicago in the dead of winter, the campaign brought together the brand’s clean, modern aesthetic with the strength and elegance of real dancers from the Joffrey Ballet’s Grainger Academy.
I served as both director for motion and photographer for all stills, shaping the creative to highlight what makes Skatie unique: effortless style, intentional design, and performance that moves with real bodies. Instead of working with traditional models, we cast ballerinas whose training, precision, and presence brought a rare authenticity to the images. Their movement added a sense of fluidity and quiet power — a reminder that activewear is at its best when it supports the people who move through the world with intention.
Shooting in winter brought its own kind of energy: crisp air, muted city tones, the contrast between cold surroundings and the warmth of human movement. We leaned into natural light, architectural lines, and Chicago’s raw beauty to create visuals that felt modern, minimal, and alive. The dancers moved through poses and transitions with an ease that made the motion feel organic rather than choreographed — a perfect match for Skatie’s understated, elevated approach to activewear.
Crafting both the film and stills allowed me to maintain a consistent visual language — clean compositions, soft tones, and a focus on form, texture, and genuine athleticism. The goal was to capture the intersection of style and performance, where clothing becomes part of the rhythm of the body wearing it.
In the end, the campaign became a study in movement, resilience, and real artistry. Chicago’s winter added grit; the dancers brought grace; and Skatie’s collection tied it all together. It’s the kind of project that reminds me how powerful it is to work with real people whose stories show up naturally on camera — honest, strong, and beautifully human.
Skatie Swim x the Salty Blonde
Skatie x Salty
Some shoots feel like stepping straight into a playlist — warm, vibey, effortless. Our Skatie Swimwear shoot in St. Martin was exactly that. Shot on location across turquoise coves, palm-lined roads, and sun-bleached beaches, the campaign paired Skatie’s laid-back California minimalism with the magnetic presence of mega-influencer The Salty Blonde — someone who brings her own unique style and ease to every frame.
As both director for motion and photographer for stills, I built the visual language around mood and movement. The goal was to create imagery that felt warm, sun-drenched, and lived-in — not overly produced, not overly posed. Skatie’s swimwear always looks best in real environments, on real women, moving naturally through their surroundings. Working with someone like The Salty Blonde made that flow effortless; she brings an intuitive sense of character, playfulness, and editorial presence without ever feeling like she’s “modeling.”
St. Martin gave us the perfect canvas — soft Caribbean light, pastel buildings, winding coastal roads, and water that looked electric on camera. We leaned into those textures: saltwater hair, tan lines, the hum of humidity, the way the sun hits skin at golden hour. Everything was meant to feel warm, nostalgic, and just a little wild — the kind of vibe you get when you take a trip with friends and let the day unfold.
From handheld motion shots running along the shoreline to quiet still moments on rocky cliffs, the campaign blended fashion, travel, and lifestyle in a way that felt free and modern. Skatie’s pieces moved beautifully in the wind and water, and The Salty Blonde brought her signature playful-cool energy to every look.
Directing the film and shooting the stills allowed me to create a cohesive story: one that captured not just the swimwear, but the feeling of being somewhere beautiful with someone who embodies the brand’s effortless spirit. It became less about “swimwear photography” and more about documenting a mood — warm light, island color, and that dreamy, sun-soaked freedom you wish you could bottle.
In the end, the campaign felt like a little world of its own: vibey, stylish, full of personality, and unmistakably Skatie. The kind of shoot that stays with you long after the sand is gone.
